About me
David Chambliss leads academic programs and support teams that oversee curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices and direct new teacher induction and professional learning for SMFCSD teachers, teacher leaders, school administrators, and classified staff. David began his education career in Oakland Unified School District in 1985 as a high school ELA and History teacher. He subsequently served as a middle school assistant principal and principal for 10 years. From 2009-2018, he was a Director and then Deputy Chief of Teacher and Learning in OUSD. In 2018, David joined SMFCSD as Assistant Superintendent.
